Arlene Arnold Lecture – “They Made It Through”  1920-1945 Have you ever wondered where the first cotton feed sack came from?  How the interest in them and the industry grew?  What was the driving force behind this new product that brought so much change to quilting in 1930, which extends to today? Come to the Lecture “They Made It Through”.  Arlene  will be showing a wide array of her collection of 1930-1945 quilts and telling her listeners about this fascinating time in our quilting history.  From flour to sugar to chicken feed to cement sacks you will learn and see how this industry changed the lives of the ladies who used this “found” material to brighten their worlds.
