Hawaiian Needle Applique- $40.00 friday, September 29th- 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Instructor Karen Ottoboni Hawaiian appliqué is a technique where you cut out the entire piece as one.  There will be no layering for the class project.  We will be using glue instead of pins to secure the fabric to the background.  This technique enables you to transport your project with you and work on it whenever you have some time and there is no worry about your piece falling off and getting lost. In this class you will learn how to do sharp points and indentations.  If time permits, I will demonstrate how to do perfect circles and skinny stems even though our project does not involve these techniques. I love this form of appliqué because there is no thread basting or burning your fingers on a hot iron and it is so transportable.  I'm looking forward to sharing this method with you and hope you will take away an enjoyable experience
